Keep The Weight Plates Right Where
They Should Be... On Your Bar!

Okie Grip Barbell Collars Holds 'em
Safe, Solid and Secure Every Time

Top-quality equipment and great workouts go hand-in-hand and when you are training to be the best, you want equipment that is as serious as you are.

What I am about to tell you will save you a bunch of time, after all, you want to spend your workout actually lifting, not changing plates.

When the plates start piling up, you will need a set of high-quality barbell collars to make sure they stay right where they should be -- on your bar.

So we took a look around at all the different options out there. We looked at over a dozen different types and brands of collars and the one at the top of our list ended up being Okie Grip Collars.

The Okie Grip Barbell collars took everything we could throw at them but what makes them different than all the other collars out there is the unique lever-locking system which buckles over the side of the bar, rather than sliding onto it. No screws to tighten, no knobs to turn -- just buckle them on and you are good to go.

To date, over 2,500 Universities and High Schools use Okie Grip Collars in their athletic facilities, recreational weight rooms, and weight training classes. They are also used by many professional sports teams, Olympic training centers, and in U.S. Military bases here and around the world.

Okie Collars are the ONLY collars that buckle over the side of the bar. A great advantage of Okie Collars is their ability to "buckle around" plates when loading or unloading a bar. You can slip a plate on the end of the bar, unbuckle the collar, slide the plate up and rebuckle the collar in one smooth movement.

This is much faster than loosening traditional collars, sliding them off the end of the bar, sitting them down, picking up a plate, sliding it on, bending over and picking up the collar (sometimes after you have looked around for it for a while), then sliding it back on the end of the bar, pushing it up to the plates, and tightening it.

Okie Collars Let you Change Your Plates With Lightning Speed

Okie Collars are also much faster when removing plates - just unbuckle the collar, pull the plates you want to take off back toward the end of the bar, rebuckle the collar, then pull the plates off the end of the bar and put them down.

Buckling over the side of the bar is a tremendous aid when loading 45 pound plates on and off a power rack for squatting. It makes life much easier. One of the major powerlifting meet producers has used them for many years to speed up their power lifting meets (plus their loaders really appreciate them at the end of the day).

Reducing collar change time really benefits crowded facilities, especially college athletic weight training facilities trying to run several groups of people through in a day. They have more time for workouts or can run another group through at the end of the day in the time they save...or even close up and go home early once in a while!

But Will They Hold?

"But will Okie Collars stand up to the rigors of hard training?" If that's what you are wondering take a look at the picture to the right...

That's Gary Polson who invented and patented the Okie Grip Collars - he had the very same question.

Gary loaded up his squat bar with as many 25 KG plates as it could hold, 10 on each side -- when all was said and done, the whole thing weighed in at 1165 pounds. (plus a pair of Okie Collars, totalling 1170 pounds)

He then buckled on a pair of Okie Grip Collars at the very end of the bar. You can barely see them sticking out in the photo so they are indicated by the arrows. Once the Okie Collars were buckled on, Gary started doing quarter squats while bouncing the bar against the power rack...

The Okie Grip Collars stuck like glue! The lever action locking system holds fast with even the heaviest of poundages.
