All equipment requires a minimum level of care in order to keep it functioning properly throughout a sustained period of time.
The Gerard Trap Bar is constructed of only the highest grade
steel which will not bend even when fully loaded. The Gerard Trap Bar is also zinc-plated which will not peel or flake like the commonly used chrome coating seen in so many
other pieces of equipment.
The only maintenance that may be required would be to clean the knurling if you frequently use chalk in your workouts -- which, of course, depends on your training
preferences.
Just like any other piece of equipment, we do not recommend leaving your Trap Bar out in the rain,
or using it for any other purpose besides that which it was intended for. As long as you take care of it, it will take care of you.
